Two days after undergoing heart surgery, former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi was moved from intensive care into a normal room at San Raffaele hospital in Milan, his brother Paolo announced Thursday. "He can already eat and do other things," his brother said. All family members have been asked to keep visits short so that Berlusconi can rest and recover, dpa reported. Surgeons at the hospital replaced a heart valve to treat a "severe aortic insufficiency" that was diagnosed after Berlusconi checked in to the clinic on June 7, suffering symptoms of heart failure.
