Major General Hussein Mohammed Arab, Yemen's minister of interior, said that the Houthi rebels in control of capital Sana'a are still derailing the peace process which aims to come out with concrete results from ongoing Kuwait consultations, particularly adhering to the international legitimacy, citing resolution 2216, the GCC initiative and the comprehensive national dialogue conference products. During a meeting in Doha today with Qatar's Prime Minister and Interior minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Arab said the rebel delegation in Kuwait continues its procrastinating approach and lack of seriousness to implement the first demands of releasing of detainees, surrender of weapons, and withdrawal from cities, including Sana'a. The latest developments at the Yemeni arena and issues of mutual concern in addition to cooperation relations between the two countries were also discussed during the meeting. For his part, the Yemeni official lauded Qatar's stands by the side of Yemeni legitimate government, led by President Abdrabbou Mansour Hadi.
