Border Guards in Tabuk Region foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of hashish and amphetamines tablets. The official spokesman for the border guards, Colonel Saher bin Mohammed Al-Harbi said that they managed to foil the attempt, following suspected by a marine monitoring a vessel inside the Saudi territorial water, heading towards the shores of the province of Haql, then a naval patrols intercepted and chased it, but the vessel tried to throw a number of bags which contained a total of (650,000) amphetamine tablets and (71 140) kilograms of narcotic hashish. The seized tablets have been referred to the competent authorities, to proceed on the legal procedures.
