The Shura Council has expressed denunciation and condemnation of the Iranian regime for trying to politicize Hajj rituals and directed this great ritual off its religious framework and turned it into a means to serve its political goals. This came in the Council's 44th regular session, held today under the Chairmanship of its speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh. In a statement read by its Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Amr, the Shura Council confirmed that the politicization of Hajj or its use in international relations cannot be accepted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which exploits it's all potentials to host, serve and care for pilgrims and maintain their security until departure from its territory. The Council calls on Iranian regime to appeal to reason in terms of Hajj and the rites of Allah Almighty and not to be used to manipulate the feelings of the Iranian citizens. The Council commended the supportive positions of countries, parliaments and Islamic organizations for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's position to reject attempts by Tehran regime to politicize Hajj, stressing the safety of the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
