Officials have begun the exhumation of a mass grave in central Mexico holding 116 bodies, most of whom were victims of violent crime, local media reported Tuesday, according to dpa. The work began Monday in the town of Tetelcingo, about 100 kilometres south of Mexico City in the state of Morelos, and is expected to last days. The exhumation was ordered after the family of one of the potential victims filed a lawsuit. The bodies were allegedly dumped illegally in the graves at the order of the state prosector's office, TeleSur television reported.
