The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved to exempt farmers of Arabian Shield areas of payment of loans for the Agricultural Development Fund because of the drought. This approval came after a recommendation submitted by the committee which studied the farms affected by drought in those areas. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Eng. Abdurrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, who is also chairman of the board of directors of the Agricultural Development Fund, pointed out that the royal approval also included all recommendations submitted by the committee. He also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince for the their continuous support for the agricultural field.
