King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has issued an order to exempt farmers hit by drought from paying back 50 percent of their loans, which they obtained from the Agricultural Development Bank, amounting to SR320 million. The King also ordered that the repayment of the remaining amounts to be scheduled over 10 years. The farmers had appealed to the King to exempt them from the loans because the drought had badly affected their revenues.
