Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of topics and issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper wrote, under the title (evasion of peace is Houthi-Saleh permanent approach), saying that the delegation of coup rebels participating in Yemeni peace negotiations being hosted by Kuwait, has sought again towards manipulation's approach and this is an old policy which had appeared in Sana'a dialogues during the years before the coup. It said the reason goes back to the insistence of the rebels to evade recognition of the pillars of peace process, the UN resolution 2216, the outcomes of national dialogue and the Gulf initiative. These cornerstones were not only requested by legitimacy, but by the international community as a key and powerful support and for any future political process. The paper also said: Yesterday the government delegation held a meeting in Kuwait with the UN envoy, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, in which it emphasized the need for the other party's commitment to the fundamentals of consultations, especially as they enjoy international consensus and UN support, therefore it is not logical or acceptable that the Houthis are looking for alternative foundations. Houthis and their ally Saleh are accountable in front of the world for ignoring the possibility of a political solution, it concluded.
