Yemen's legitimate government denied today reports that any agreement on the formation of an agreeable government to both parties have been reached with coup leaders during the ongoing Kuwait consultations. An official source of the Yemeni government delegation stressed that there was no significant progress in the consultations because of the intransigence of the militia coup delegation who continue to refuse the terms of reference approved in advance in addition to their determination to legitimize and install the coup. The source, quoted by the official news agency of Yemen, pointed that coup negotiators continue to insist on non-delivery of weapons or no-reference to the GCC initiative, its executive mechanism, the outputs of the national dialogue or the resolutions of the Security Council Summit, in particular Resolution 2216.
