Yemeni Deputy Premier and foreign minister Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi, who leads his country's government delegation to Kuwait consultations between Yemeni factions, met in Kuwait this evening with Kuwait's First Deputy Premier and foreign minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The Yemeni news agency, which carried the news, said Al-Mikhlafi briefed Al-Sabah on the outcome of today's meetings, revealing that no tangible progress was reached as the rebels are reluctant to surrender weapons. Al-Mikhlafi added that what happened in Yemen is not just a military coup against the legitimate government but a coup on the State and its institutions as the rebels are now demanding to share the power while "we want to restore the State and its institutions before speaking about power-sharing".
