At least six people have died during torrential rainfall in Haiti, according to media reports on Wednesday, dpa reported. Three children from the same family were among the dead, said reports citing the Haitian Interior Ministry. The six people were reported to have died in Carrefour, a suburb of the capital Port-au-Prince. Due to ongoing storms and heavy rainfall, authorities have issued a flood and landslide warnings for the Port-au-Prince region. The impoverished Caribbean nation has long been victim of natural disasters, notably the 2010 earthquake, which left tens of thousands dead.
