At least nine people were killed in a suicide bombing in front of the Afghan Ministry of Defense, dpa quoted police as saying. "Thirteen others are wounded in the attack by a suicide bomber who blew up his explosive vest near the entry gate," said Basir Mujahid, the spokesman for Kabul's police force. On Twitter, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack, saying a suicide bomber had "killed 23 military officers and wounded 29 others."
