Speaker of Kuwaiti National Assembly Rejects Interference in the Kingdom's Internal Affairs

Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim objected today a statement by Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the 11th conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC (PUIC) member states in Baghdad.
"If the Saudi delegation is not present at the conference, I personally and the Kuwaiti delegation represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We will not, under any conditions, accept interference in the Kingdom's internal affairs," Al-Ghanim told the conference.
Al-Ghanim stressed that the aim of the PUIC Baghdad conference is to bolster a unity discourse, not a divisive one.
