The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani today denounced the abduction of Al-Jazeerah news channel team in the Yemeni city of Taiz, describing the act as a violation of international law which guarantees complete freedom of the media to cover international events. Al-Zayani held the abductors responsible of the safety of the team, demanding immediate release and calling on the world community to denounce this crime which aims to preventing the media from unveiling the realities on the ground in the besieged city of Taiz.
