Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the kingdom Lee Cheng Wen praised the rapid development of the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Peoples Republic of China in various fields. This came during a press conference held by the ambassador today at the Chinese embassy in Riyadh to talk on the official visit of President Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, to the Kingdom on Tuesday. The ambassador called the visit a friendly visit which reflects the size of understanding and harmony between the leadership of the two countries, reviewing previous high-level visits confirming the keenness of both sides to develop the relationship at all levels. The Chinese ambassador said that trade exchange between the two countries totaled $ 70 billion, noting a desire by both sides to strengthen economic cooperation, and to address the challenges it faces, in order to contribute to the expansion of economic development pillars, attract investment and create an open economic structure in both countries, and stressing the interest of both sides to find new opportunities for scientific cooperation with regard to energy in particular, and looking forward to reaching a mechanism to serve the two friendly countries in this important area. The Chinese ambassador stressed his country's interest in peace in all countries of the Middle East region and highlighted aims of his country's foreign policy, including good neighboring, non-interference in internal affairs of countries, the political resolution of the Syrian crisis and rejection of terrorism and its linkage with Islam.
