Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, has concluded an official visit to the Republic of China during which he was received by Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the reception, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the President a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields as well as regional and international issues of common interest. Prince Saud Al-Faisal held extended talks with the Chinese State Counselor Yang Jiechi and Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi. The discussions focused on developing bilateral relations and the desire to push them to new horizons as well as regional and international issues, particularly the crisis in Syria in the light of the latest developments, the Palestinian issue and the Iranian nuclear crisis within the framework of the efforts of the group of (5 + 1). President Xi said that China always consider relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from a long-term perspective, stressing that the development of friendly relations with the Kingdom represents a stable policy for China, regardless of changes at the international situation.
