The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his talks with President of the Republic of Tunisia, President of the Republic of Turkey, President of the State of Palestine and Chairman of Palestine Liberation Organization, President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Lebanon's former President, as well as the topics of his telephone conversations with Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the President of the Republic of Egypt and the King of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Council of Ministers expressed its congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the first anniversary of his ascension to the throne, and on the firm positions and achievements realized by the Kingdom at international political arenas and national and developmental accomplishments in all fields. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Council of Ministers paid tribute to the contents of the King's annual speech delivered at the inauguration of the fourth year of the sixth session of the Shura Council, reflecting an integral and developmental, political, economic and security vision carrying positive meanings and indications in a changing and confusing world and illustrating the Kingdom's keenness to fulfill its duties and responsibilities to best serve Islam and Muslims. The Cabinet highlighted the continuing interest of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in health, education, housing, employment, transport and economic sectors through providing unlimited financial, human and organizational support as part of its awareness that Saudi citizens are its first developmental priority. The Cabinet emphasized the Kingdom's pursuing a firm foreign policy that is committed to international charters and advocating Islamic and Arab causes aiming to fight terrorism, achieve security and stability in the world, and seek to achieve the unity of ranks to face the dangers and challenges engulfing the Islamic and Arab nations. The Council of Ministers highly valued the directives issued by the King to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs following the approval of the State's general budget 1437/1438 H. to work to launch a comprehensive and structural economic and financial reforms program so that the budget would represent the start of a complementary and comprehensive working program to build a strong economy based on firm pillars in which income resources diversify, savings grow, job opportunities increase, partnership between the public and private sectors strengthen together with continual developmental and service projects implementation, different governmental services promotion and public expenditure efficiency upgrading. --More 15:56 LOCAL TIME 12:56 GMT تغريد
