Pakistan's Scholars Council confirmed today that it supports the decision taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sever ties with Iran following the aggression staged against the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the Saudi consulate in Mashhad. The Council's President Sheikh Tahir Mahmood Al-Ashrafi said in a statement today that the Scholars in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan welcome the decision, reiterating his supportive stance towards the procedures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to protect the country's security and stability.
