China expressed, on Friday, its willingness to cooperate with the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism and appreciated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to form this alliance. This came during a meeting held by Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, on the sidelines of the International Syria Support Group meeting in New York. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency after the meeting, Al-Jubeir said that the Kingdom has strong relations with China which is an important economic, political and security partner. During the meeting, Al-Jubeir explained that they discussed the Saudi-Chinese bilateral relations and the keenness of the two countries to strengthen and intensify their relations in various fields. He added that the Chinese Foreign Minister appreciated the Kingdom's initiative to form the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism and extremism and expressed China's willingness to cooperate with the alliance. For his part, the Chinese foreign minister expressed his country's desire to intensify bilateral cooperation with the Kindom in all fields. The meeting was attended by Director of the information department Ambassador Osama Osama Nugli and Saudi deputy representative to the United Nations Saad Al-Saad.
