Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Youm highlighted the statement issued by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, announcing to the world the formation of the Islamic Military Alliance on Terror.
It quoted the world's leaders as describing the move an important turning point in the march to get rid of the disgusting phenomenon.
The paper said the importance of Riyadh's leadership of the new bloc emanates from the sufferings incurred by the Kingdom and other Arab, Islamic and friendly countries as part of terrorist criminal activities on its peaceful land.
Al-Youm said Saudi Arabia is known as a reference of the Islamic faith and, hence, repeatedly called for concerted world efforts to fight terrorism because of the crimes it committed in the name of Islam.
