A private cargo spaceship launched successfully from Cape Canaveral, Florida, Sunday on a resupply mission to the International Space Station, according to dpa. The United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket blasted off at 4:44 pm (2144 GMT) after being postponed three days in a row because of bad weather. About 10 minutes into the launch the Atlas V had successfully separated from the Centaur upper stage engine, NASA said. The unmanned Cygnus cargo craft is set to deliver 3,000 kilograms of food, scientific experiments, and spare parts to the space station, which is in orbit around the Earth.
