Suspected separatist rebels killed an Indonesian
military officer in Papua province, the military said Tuesday, according to dpa.
Major John de Fretes and two soldiers were ambushed while travelling
in Mamberamo Raya district on Monday, said Colonel Teguh Puji
Raharjo, spokesman for the Papua military garrison.
