Israeli occupation troops, early Saturday stormed a mosque in the West Bank town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron and interrogated a Palestinian worshipper. A statement by the spokesman of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Ummar, Mohammed Awad, said that Israeli soldiers also broke into his house, detained his son Ahmad, 17, and questioned him about the killing of Omar Arafat Za'aqeeq. Omar Arafat Za'aqeeq is a Palestinian teen, who was shot dead by the Israeli soldiers Friday on the entrance of Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. Meanwhile, a large number of Israeli occupation soldiers raided the houses of Za'aqeeq relatives, interrogated them and threatened to demolish their houses. Violent confrontations erupted near the mosque of the town, where Israeli forces fired tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets against the locals. Dozens of Palestinians were injured and others suffered suffocation due to inhaling teargas, the statement added.
