A delegation of the UN anti-drug office has paid an official visit to the General Directorate of Drug Combating to get-acquainted of the efforts and experience of the Kingdom in fighting the international epidemic. The delegation, which visited the authority recently, was received by Major General Abdullah Al-Atram, Assistant Director General of Drug Combating for Operation Affairs who briefed the delegation on the authority's efforts and security experiences. Following the meeting, Al-Atram said cooperation between the UN and Saudi anti-drug authorities is deep-rooted, citing the past and current exchange of information on drug trafficking and crime combat and vowed intensive future cooperation. The Kingdom's preventive efforts, including Nibras project, launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, its endorsement of a number of drug fighting agreements and protocols and its experience on electronic distance anti-drug education were also discussed. --SPS 15:09 LOCAL TIME 12:09 GMT تغريد
