The U.S. Treasury Department has designated two people under the Kingpin Act for alleged criminal activities associated with the Sinaloa Cartel, run by fugitive drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. The department says the designation of Guadalupe Fernandez Valencia and Jorge Mario Valenzuela Verdugo freezes any U.S. assets and prohibits people in the U.S. from doing business with them, AP reported. -- SPA 20:10 LOCAL TIME 17:10 GMT تغريد
