The High Commission of United Nations for Refugees ( UNHCR) organized on Monday and Tuesday a field press tour to the reception centers for asylum seekers and displaced persons camps inside Iraq and refugees from Syria in Erbil Province in Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The representatives of Arab and Foreign media participated in the tour where they were briefed on the challenges facing the refugee camps and the sufferings of displaced persons and refugees, especially in winter in light of the lack of aid from donor countries. The Spokesman of High Commission of United Nations for Refugees in Iraq Ali Bibi told, on the sidelines of the field tour, the Saudi Press Agency that the pivotal role of humanitarian assistance being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a model in support for the displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees in Iraq. He added, "I hope that donor countries follow the example of the Kingdom in relief and subsidy for displaced persons and refugees, commending the Kingdom's efforts in providing prefabricated houses in the camp of Bahrakah for displaced Iraqis in Irbil province, which alleviated the sufferings being endured by those displaced people in Iraq.
