Director of UN Industrial Development Organization: Saudi Arabia will Lead Development of Technologies in the Field of Conservation, Storage of Renewable Energy

Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Kandy Yom Klla stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will lead the development of technologies in the field of conservation and storage of renewable energy and will be able to convert this stored energy for the use in smart power grid and manufacturing of the smart cars due to its ability to benefit from technologies of conservation and storage of energy.
In a press statement following his participation in the opening ceremony of the global innovation summit and meeting of the Federation of Competitiveness Councils at in King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh, he confirmed that the Kingdom will have a vital role in the development and support of renewable energy because of its location, availability of solar energy and silicone material, pointing out that establishment of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy will support this trend.
