Early results in Turkey's parliamentary elections show the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) with 53 per cent of the vote, according to state broadcaster TRT, possibly putting it on a path to form a single party government, dpa reported. The early results in the snap election could change as the counting goes on. The centre-left People's Republican Party (CHP) was hovering at about 20 per cent while the far-right Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the leftist, pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) were both at around 11 per cent. Voter turnout was high, at 87.2 per cent. -- SPA 20:02 LOCAL TIME 17:02 GMT تغريد
