The Council of the Arab League concluded its consultative meeting at the level of permanent delegates, here today under the chairmanship of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the Arab move on the Palestinian issue. In a news conference at the conclusion of the meeting, UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, said that his country has proposed an emergency meeting of the Arab foreign ministers on 4th or 5th of November at the General Secretariat of the Arab League, to discuss the developments of the Palestinian cause and to put a plan for the next Arab move in the UN Security Council and UN General Assembly in order to providing international protection for the Palestinian people. For his part, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli, said that the Secretary-General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Elaraby will conduct consultations with the Arab foreign ministers to agree on a deadline for the convening of the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers, in the light of the proposal of the UAE, the currently chair of the Arab Leagues' Council.
