"Yemenis Against Coup" bloc in Holland today staged a demonstration before the International Criminal Tribunal, demanding the trial of Houthi militia, now in control of parts of Yemen, including capital Sanaa, and troops loyal to deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh for committing war crimes in Yemen. The Yemeni News Agency, which carried the news, said a group of activists and civil society organizations in Holland have taken part in the protest to express denunciation of the crimes perpetrated by Houthis and Saleh supporters. The protesters said, in a message to the court, that the Houthi militia and Saleh supporters have committed crimes against humanity, violated international laws, killed and injured thousands of civilians in Yemen, including women and children, bombarded hospitals, schools, mosques and residential neighborhoods and caused the displacement of civilians from urban areas to everywhere due to random shelling. The demonstrators also demanded the court to expedite the arrest and trying of the Houthi leaders, deposed Ali Saleh and all their supporters as war criminals against humanity.
