AlHijjah 28, 1436, Oct 12, 2015, SPA -- Worawi Makudi, the president of the Thailand Football Association (FAT), has been banned from football for 90 days, world governing body FIFA said Monday. The 63-year-old Makudi is a former member of the FIFA executive committee and has been FAT president since 2007. "The adjudicatory chamber of the ethics committee, chaired by Hans-Joachim Eckert, has suspended Worawi Makudi ... from all football activities at national and international level for 90 days," dpa quoted FIFA as saying in a statement. Makudi is suspended "on the grounds that a breach of the code of ethics appears to have been committed and a decision on the main issue may not be taken early enough," FIFA said. Details of the case, which will now be investigated formally, were not given. Last week the ethics committee banned FIFA president Joseph Blatter, general secretary Jerome Valcke and vice-president and UEFA president Michel Platini for 90 days.
