AlHijjah 26, 1436, Oct 10, 2015, SPA -- Egypt and France on Saturday signed a deal to supply Cairo with two assault ships. The deal was signed in Cairo in the presence of President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls. The two countries signed a second pact on military defense, dpa reported. The French premier is visiting Egypt for two days as part of a regional trip. Under the deal, France is to sell two Mistral-class amphibious assault ships to Egypt. The warships are capable of carrying 30 helicopters, 60 vehicles, 700 troops and 200 tons of munitions.
