AlHijjah 25, 1436, October 09, 2015, SPA -- Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Abdallah Y. Al-Moa'allami, has stressed that the Kingdom is honored to stand with the Palestinian People to achieve their legitimate rights to live in freedom and dignity, noting that the Kingdom had provided more than $ 350 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in the Near East (UNRWA) since 2013, it was reported here today. He made the remarks during a meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee for Voluntary Contributions to UNRWA held here yesterday. The Saudi Ambassador expressed deep concern over the provocative actions carried out by the Israeli occupational authorities and the terrorists settlers in Al-Quds, including the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the upsurge of violence, demanding for immediate cessation of such actions and calling upon the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard. "Addressing the roots of the human suffering experienced by Palestinian refugees requires us to take immediate action to set a timetable for ending their suffering and their return to their homes, by obliging Israel with the resolutions of the international legitimacy and the positive dealing with the Arab peace initiative launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than 13 years," ambassador Al-Moa'allami said. He stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is honored to stand with the Palestinian people as a religious and human duty to achieve their legitimate right to live in freedom and dignity, and get all their legitimate and inalienable rights. --More 00:39 LOCAL TIME 21:39 GMT تغريد
