AlHijjah 22, 1436, October 06, 2015, SPA -- Investigators in the central German state of Thuringia have ruled out a crime after a man died following a blaze in a refugee shelter, dpa reported. Police said they were working on the assumption that the man, a 29-year-old Eritrean, lit the fire himself and took his own life. "There are no traces of undue force being applied externally to the body," police spokeswoman Heidi Sonnenschmidt said following the initial post-mortem findings. The man died from smoke inhalation, she said. The fire broke out Monday evening in a flat used to house migrants in the town of Saalfeld. All other residents were evacuated to safety after a social worker noticed thick smoke.
