Naimi emphasized the importance of investment in science, research and technology to make fossil energy sources cleaner and more appropriate to the requirements of the environment, and more happiness and prosperity for the future generations. On the sidelines of the meeting inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Turkish Republic, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi met with a number of ministers of petroleum and energy, including United States Energy Secretary Dr. Ernest Moniz, Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak, and Indonesian Minister of Energy Sudirman Said. During the meetings, they discussed bilateral relations in the fields of petroleum, and maintaining a clean environment by using modern technology means and benefiting from technological progress and scientific research in these fields.
