AlHijjah 18, 1436, Oct 2, 2015, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Watan, Al-Madinah and Al-Sharq newspapers all commented on the developments in Syrian, saying that if Russia believes it is capable of maintaining Bashar al-Assad as President of Syria by protecting him, that may be for a short period, but the inevitable result will be his departure after losing legitimacy even at the international level. They further said what raises doubts is the start of yesterday's Russian air military operations and the bombardment of positions inside Syrian territory under the pretext of the fight against terrorist ISIS organization, while reports pointed to its sites as civilian in rural Homs and Hama, resulting in the killing of 36 civilians. Al-Sharq wrote also about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's call for the immediate cessation of the Russian air campaign in Hama and Hom and expressed its deep concern of civilian casualties as a result of these Russian raids. --More 11:09 LOCAL TIME 08:09 GMT تغريد
