AlHijjah 16, 1436, September 30, 2015, SPA -- Russia's parliament unanimously approved a request Wednesday by President Vladimir Putin to send troops to Syria, the Interfax news agency reported, according to dpa. Currently Russia is only considering using its air force to support the Syrian government in its fight against the terrorist ISIS group, the Kremlin's chief of staff, Sergei Ivanov, said after the announcement. "The use of armed forces on the ground has been excluded," Ivanov said, according to Interfax.
