AlHijjah 15, 1436, September 29, 2015, SPA -- The United States on Monday condemned continuing violence in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR) that started Friday, offering condolences to families of victims and calling for justice against the perpetrators of sectarian unrest. "Those guilty of committing or inciting violence, including leaders of anti-Balaka militias and ex-Seleka groups, must be held accountable for their actions. We fully support the efforts of the Central African and international forces to re-establish order and bring these perpetrators to justice," the State Department said in a statement. The department expressed support for President Catherine Samba-Panza and her transitional government and said Washington "remains committed to helping the Central African Republic establish the peace and stability its citizens deserve."
