Foreign Minister asserts kingdom's full sovereign right in reservation about implementation of any recommendations contradicting principles of Islamic religion and our legislation

AlHijjah 13, 1436, September 27, 2015, SPA -- Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on sustainable development and adoption of international visions in this area. The minister pointed out the difficulty of achieving it for people who suffer from occupation.
He also stressed the retention by Kingdom of its full sovereign right to have reservation on the implementation of any recommendations contradicting the principles our Islamic religion and our legislation.
The minister made the remarks in the kingdom's speech he delivered before the Millennium World Summit on Sustainable Development beyond 2015, as part of the 70th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York today.
The minister said that it was clear from the follow-up implementation of the Millennium Development Goals that the Kingdom has exceeded the approved ceilings of their completion and before the proposed deadlines.
