Volcano's rumblings prompt Ecaudor to declare state of emergency

AlQa'dah 1, 1436, Aug 16, 2015, SPA -- The president of Ecuador on Saturday imposed a
state of emergency in the country over concern that the volcano
Cotopaxi might erupt, dpa reported.
President Rafael Correa said it was important to prepare by
mobilizing the necessary financial means and to concentrate other
resources. The measures theoretically mean there could be limits on
freedom of assembly and news coverage.
Correa said security coordinator Cesar Navas was in charge of the
measures and urged calm.
