Twenty-one people have died as a result of a heatwave sweeping across Egypt, dpa quoted the country's Health Ministry as saying Monday. Most of the Sunday fatalities were elderly people, the ministry said in a statement. Fifteen died in Cairo, four in the western Mediterranean Marsa Matrouh province, and two in the Upper EgyptianQena province. The ministry added that 66 people are being treated for heat exhaustion.
