The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in Sitra village, Kingdom of Bahrain, on 28 July 2015, killing policemen and wounding others as they performed their duties of protecting the country and the people. Madani expressed the OIC's solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, rejection of interference in its internal affairs, and support for the security, stability and sovereignty of the country and the unity of its people who are distinguished by moderation and openness. The Secretary General also conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured quick recovery. The Secretary recalled the OIC's principled and constant position condemning all forms and manifestations of terrorism, and its commitment to continue to cooperate and coordinate with Member States and all organs and institutions of the OIC to combat terrorism in the framework of the resolutions adopted in this regard.
