Novak Djokovic dismantled the picture-book backhand of Richard Gasquet in a 7-6 (7-2), 6-4, 6-4 sweep on Friday to move into his fourth Wimbledon final. The defending champion awaits a Sunday title opponent as seven-times winner Roger Federer, seeded second, faces British third seed Andy Murray in the other semi-final. Djokovic won his 12th match of 13 played against France's Gasquet, whose one-handed backhand can be a lethal weapon which sets him apart from many of his two-handed colleagues. The Frenchman has not won a set off of Djokovic over three grand slam meetings and only came close to breaking through in the opening set which went for almost an hour. But after winning the set in a tiebreaker, top seed Djokovic took a tighter grip on the match to run out the winner in just under two and a half hours, advancing with a dozen aces, 46 winners and three breaks of serve, dpa reported.
