More than 20 migrants are feared to have drowned after their boat capsized shortly after departuring from Turkey for Greece, dpa quoted the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) as saying Friday. Turkish and Greek coast guards have so far recovered five bodies and rescued 19 others. A further 16 are still missing from the accident, which occurred on Tuesday between the Greek islands of Agathonisi and Farmakonisi, near the Turkish coast. The number of refugees landing on Greek islands has increased to an average of 1,000 per day, UNHCR spokesman William Spindler said in Geneva. -- SPA 16:33 LOCAL TIME 13:33 GMT تغريد
