A number of states and senior officials have expressed their sadness, sympathy and condolence to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people on the sad demise of Prince Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Prince Saud passed away in the United States yesterday. In statements to mark the sad occasion, they said Prince Saud Al-Faisal as the leader of Saudi and Arab diplomacy over four decades has demonstrated unprecedented skills of a man of patience and dedication. As the world's longest-serving senior diplomat, Saud Al-Faisal proved to be one of the world's peace loving and defender whose endeavors have succeeded to being peace and stability to several areas in the region. They cited his efforts to contain several crises in the Gulf and Arab region. The Sultanate of Oman issued a statement in this regard while Lebanon's prime minister Tamam Salam, Jordan's foreign minister Nasser Jodah, Germany's foreign minister Frank Walter Steinmeier, and Egypt's minister of endowments Dr. Mohammed Mukhtar Jumaa, expressed their condolences in separate statements.
