Prince Saud Bin Abdul Mohsen Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Hail region, said that the decision of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on the registration of rock drawings in Hail region within the World Heritage List, is an achievement that reflects the depth of the civilization of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, being replete with enormous treasures of the national heritage, which is a testament to succession of civilizations on the Arabian Peninsula. The Prince confirmed that this international recognition is the culmination the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, represented in his keenness and care for everything related to the National Heritage of the Kingdom, and the need to highlight it for today's generation and maintain it for the future generations.
