34 dead in passenger boat sinking in Philippines

At least 34 people are dead after a passenger boat
sank off the central Philippines, dpa cited a coast guard spokesman as saying.
Emergency teams rescued 118 people from the seas off Ormoc City in
Leyte province, where the accident happened, said Commander Armand
Balilo.
