The number of unfilled jobs in Germany rose to new heights Monday, as the Labour Office released data from a new indicator, dpa reported. Its BA-X jobs index rose to 191 for the month of June, two points above its May levels and the highest figure ever scored for the indicator. Anything over 100 indicates there are more jobs than qualified job seekers. The data is especially poignant given the debt crises that continue to lap at the eurozone fringe - most noticeably in Greece, which is facing capital controls as its debt default grows increasingly likely - where youth unemployment is at near record levels.
