At least 146 civilians have been killed by ISIS in and around the town of Kobane in northern Syria over the past 24 hours after the extremist militia attacked the mostly Kurdish enclave, a monitoring group reported on Friday. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the toll included 120 civilians shot dead by fighters from ISIS after a surprise attack on Thursday by jihadists in Kobane near the Turkish border. Militants also killed 26 civilians in the village of Berxbutan, some 35 kilometers south of Kobane, dpa quoted the Syrian Observatory as saying.
