Tropical Storm Bill was downgraded to a tropical depression Wednesday while it moved across Texas, bringing with it heavy rains that flooded streets and hindered transportation. There were no reports of major damage or deaths from Bill, the second named tropical storm of the 2015 Atlantic hurricane season. According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm is expected to bring sustained winds of almost 56 kilometers per hour. Rainfall is forecast to be 10 centimeters to 20 centimeters over eastern Texas and eastern Oklahoma and 8 centimeters to 15 centimeters over western Arkansas and southern Missouri. Some areas could see as much as 30 centimeters. Roughly 120 flights were cancelled at airports in Dallas and Houston, some of the country's busiest.
